First: the buttonholes.
I realized, especially after cogitative about what Lorna wrote about captivating a lesson for limit buttonholes, that I was not formation "real" border buttonholes. I made positive ones on my faux fur hibernate coat. You bring into being the tiny welts and move round the welt fabric to the interior of the jacket front, which is interior where the interfacing is, between the front and the facing. Then you accomplish the buttonhole on the facing in a resembling way and bind them together. I sewed the "welts" to my silk jerkin, sewing through all layers at once and meander the welts to the interior part but where they showed on the facing. The above photo shows one complete buttonhole at the top, from the superficies. The second buttonhole has the welt fabric zigzaged to it from the surface. There is a line of basting in pitchy green small string running down the medial of the welt region. That's where I cut the buttonhole unclose.

I know I showed this before but here is the buttonhole from the interior part - the facing side. I have tucked under the raw cutting side on the short sides of the "welt" and pinned them down.
