I'm in the continued movement of restoring a 1974 basking-shark. I've already had to install three ports to passage the backing blocks, all of which became saturated and sanguinary off, and were rattling around in the husk. I also need to re-affix two of the main styrofoam blocks, which also came set free.

So far, no big deal. Here's my inquiry: the closed-small room foam that attaches the styrofoam blocks is TOTALLY saturated with irrigate; it's palpably wet to the strike against. I'm assuming I strait to remove as much of this raw material as I can reach, even the material that fills the gap between the top of the styrofoam and the outer covering, but I won't be able to stretch forth the outboard side of the styrofoam blocks. I almost certainly won't be clever to get ALL of it out.

My question is: how dry does the inner part of the hull strait to be before I re-attach the styrofoam blocks? Do I urgency to dry it out for weeks using enforced air, etc., or do I merely want to scrape out as much of the obviously dampness dank closed-small room foam as I can and let the fiberglass exterior dry out? The styrofoam itself doesn't perceive that damp, though it could very well have a lot of absorbed irrigate. Will the pour foam be attached to slightly wet styrofoam?
