I’ve never had much endurance. My mother claimed that I was permanent behind the door when it was handed out.   I defect things done yesterday!  Consequently rug hooking has been a enlarging experience.  A rug lawful doesn’t unroll as quickly as you would cognate. Loop by noose you create your drawing.  It is as though you are coloring in slow movement. Even mistakes take duration to become visible.

         The  “23rd Sacred song” Rug is great by rug hooking standards- not fa from 8’ x 5’.  My frame stretches 10 feet across the workshop floor. I allied to be able to see bulky portions of the rug at once, so I converted a sovereign size quilting frame to my necessarily.  The rug will only urgency to be moved two times before I am finished. Right getting it on the frame correctly requires a vast deal of endurance.  It must be done meticulously so that the rug will not be pulled out of make. Listening to my inner man during this process is ludicrous. “Go moderate. Take your time. Respired air, this is part of the process. Take delight in it all”.  I have to keep reminding myself that go without food isn’t helpful here. I discern I’ve taken self-sufficiency over the years in acquisition things done quick.  Rug hooking right isn’t done that way.

         Hooking the greater elements of the rug is always the most enjoyable and creative part of any rug.  I find it so pleasing that time reasonable flies by. Endurance comes into romp with the background. I emergency to break the rug up into smaller portions, hooking background as I go.  This week it was grass.  How could I bent holder it to make the continued movement more interesting?  Wearisome new ways to curved catch something always increases my care and my patience.  It was fun to catch the grass with 7 separate shades of virid and textures as varied as delicate, sweaters, tweeds, and blankets. Then sprinkle some rocks in there with a tee shirt and plaids. In former rugs I have always hamate grass on the parallel to the horizon plane, so this duration I am trying out upright hooking. I can only catch small blades of grass at a duration, requiring changing building every 6 loops. I use #8 cuts or larger, but the continued movement still requires lots and lots of endurance.  I seem to be acquisition pretty profitable at it!  I might even end up incorporating endurance  into my daily vitality. Now that would be amazing.
