Cosmetics And Quilting
I’ve been out of a sewing instrument of force for almost a week now and my bipolar hypomania phasis has become cosmetic obsessed. LOL.
I don’t make out about you but cosmetics are a without fault mystery to me. The doubter in me is convinced there is a complot going on and it’s over coin. However; I discern there is no conspiracy. It’s right amazingly confusing. In my searches I’ve found some remarking similarities between cosmetics and quilting. Especially if you are new to either. These are my free from haughtiness opinions as I inscribe on. You don’t have to harmonize with me.
Just similar when I started quilting everything was new and exciting. All the raw material out there to try and do. Wow..the possibilities are limitless! Then sticker collision sets in. A rotatory cutting mat is 40 bucks?? The blades are 9 bucks each?? Slender cord can be as high as 20 dollars a cone..or more. Edifice runs between 7-12 dollars a enclosure. Ouch. Oh..and the most costly of all..YOUR sewing engine. I’m talking a fire-brand new one not a gently used one. Family machines can run as elevated as a small covenant car with embroidery options and computerization. Lengthy arm machines flinch at 10,000 (with everything included) and up to 35,000 for a TOL one. My car take away from me 10,000 dollars. I still can’t discern how a sewing engine compares to a car in value. That’s another mouth for another post.
Being new to cosmetics another cosmos has opened up and the possibilities are boundless. Eye shadows, mascara, footing, skin anxiety products, creams, potions, lipsticks, blushes, eyeliners, and all the other things you find. Reasonable like quilting there are dozens of companies that are vying for your consideration each claiming to be the ONE you will use world without end.
Like quilting, cosmetics run at not the same prices causing sticker concussion. You absence 22 dollars for a body of blush? 16 dollars for one eye shade color?? 50 dollars for footing?? 75 dollars for a pipe of exfoliation material? Approximately a hundred dollars for some 2oz bottle of moisturizer? I’m supposed to have a cleanser, a moisturizer, a day best part, a night best part, eye cream, fluid foundation, powdered bottom, eye base, concealer, and you not to be found me at some serum concoction that will fill in comminuted lines and something, something and something. Is your head-piece spinning now?
