Hello everyone! Have you ever wondered about what it’s allied to be an editor of a quilting repository? I have when I have looked through the numerous quilting magazines that are available to us. So today I am bringing to you the questions I asked Karen Gass, reviser and corrector of Cotton flavoring Magazine, and her answers. Cotton-wool spice is a unrestrained web based warehouse. Question 1: How did you approach up with the core form of Cotton flavor magazine and the mete “contemporaneous fresh”?

Karen: This was a juncture effort between me and my daughter Shannon Metal-worker. It was her idea originally to startle a quilting magazine. Which is complacent of funny origin she’s not a quilter. She is however, an awesome photographer.

So in a creation with so many quilt magazines we had to tend hitherward up with something that would be different enough from what is already out there, that nation would be interested in. We wanted to put something not the same together. Fresh new designs in all address levels. Converse about our own individual creativity and how to make known it. Explore the uses of tinge and how we can use it to our advantage. We encouraged designers to take a traditionary block and create it Contemporary Novel by changing a few lines in the stop up. We wanted to go to a greater distance than Traditional Quilts, but not perfectly to Art Quilts. We brainstormed and came up with the bourn - Contemporary Novel.

Question 2: What do you parallel most about being an editor of a quilting receptacle?

Karen: I described it once this way - It’s a big ole playground and I get to terminate who plays what. Oh the faculty!!! I’m teasing, but it indeed is like a big ole playground. Engraving it in your head. In that crotch is the Color part, where quilters are playing with flag and discovering new combinations. Over there, they are acquisition of knowledge a new technique for appliqueing curves. There are some quilters over in the kitchen acquisition of knowledge to dye fabric, and over there on the vestibule, in the shade - is a record teller. All of us, joining together to do what we have affection for best.
