In the last week or so, Caron has added some immense free patterns to their web place. I’ve put several of them in my Ravelry queue, but they aren’t showing up in the Ravelry exemplar directory yet, so I notion I’d most excellent bring them to everyone’s care. This is clearly a new peril for Caron, and most categories have only a few patterns (some have none), but what’s there is wholly nice.

I delight in the inset shawl neck-band in contrast yarn on the Toronto pullover.

The original calls for changing yarn ensign every two rows on the neck-band, but I’d be tempted to simplify by using self-striping yarn. (What a cyclopean opportunity to use a specifical single knot of Noro or a palm and fingers-dye!)

I’m not certain what to call “Portland“: cardigan? vesture? shrug? But it looks perfectly wearable—equitable the thing for a day with uncertain weather.

I’m also taken with the babe’s Strawberry Elevation cardigan.

The cables on the top that be in action like smocking are cute, cute, cute and create for a loose-fitting vestment that will give little one adequate supply of room for change.
