Yarn: Noro Kureyon Sock (S164)

Another one for Shoot forward Spectrum (”Terrestrial ball”).

Lots of edits to create this pattern be in action for the skinny poor Noro. Send on 20 stitches, increased up to 72, formation for four cables across the top of the lower extremity and eight up the leg.

Let me interject here… make one's self acquainted with to cable without a cable needle! This is an of moment life cleverness generally, but oh so much more for these socks… And the Noro sock yarn is super forgiving on this front– the finished yarn for learning. It sticks to itself allied velcro, so those held stitches aren’t going anywhere. Don’t terror round 5, Have affection for(!) circular 5 and cable without a cable needle.

There are several project features I am head-piece-over-heels for in this original. Straight off, I truly like the toe on these, not as pointy as emblematic toe-up construction can be, as a flow of increasing every circular for the first five before switching to every-other circular.

Next, I was totally thrilled to blend a heel hanging fold into the toe-up construction. This was one of those few contrive features that I in reality missed as I switched over from top-down knitting. Moreover, I find the gusset joins to be much more winsome with the toe-up heel-hanging fold (vs. top-down heel-hanging fold): rather than picking up slipped stitches on the back of the foot flap, here you p2tog or ssk with the have life gusset stitches, formation for a much more seamless attach, IMO. One more tick in the “toe-up” rounded pillar of my preferred knitting sock phraseology list.
